Richard Linklater?s upcoming film Blue Moon, which was shot in Dublin, will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film was co-produced by Wild Atlantic Pictures, and shot by Irish DoP Shane Kelly. The film?s cast includes Andrew Scott.

Produced by Wild Atlantic Pictures in association with director Richard Linklater's Detour banner and Renovo Media Group, Blue Moon is set to premiere at the Berlinale in Germany next month.

Blue Moon follows the final days of Lorenz Hart, one half of hit songwriting team Rodgers & Hart. The film is set primarily in Sardi?s Restaurant on March 31st, 1943, the opening night of Oklahoma!, which marked Rodgers?s first collaboration with Oscar Hammerstein II as Hart?s replacement. Joining Ethan Hawke (Before Sunrise) in the cast are Andrew Scott (Ripley), Margaret Qualley (The Substance), and Bobby Cannavale (Sing 2).

"We are delighted that Blue Moon has been selected for competition at the Berlin Film Festival,? said executive producer Macdara Kelleher of Wild Atlantic Pictures. ?It was an honour to work with Richard Linklater and be part of bringing his vision to life alongside the incredible cast and creative team."

The film was financed by Sony Pictures Classics and Renovo Media Group. The film is a Detour/Renovo production in association with Wild Atlantic Pictures, Under The Influence and Cinetic Media. Executive producers include Wild Atlantic's Macdara Kelleher, Donna Eperon and John Keville, Renovo Media Group's David Kingland, Lisa Crnic and Aaron Wiederspahn, and Cinetic's Steven Farneth.

Irish cinematographer Shane Kelly continued his ongoing collaborations with Linklater on Blue Moon. Kelly has worked as a DoP on many of Linklater's previous projects, including A Scanner Darkly, Boyhood, Everybody Wants Some!!, and most recently, Hit Man.

Also receiving its world premiere and screening in competition at the Berlinale is Hot Milk starring Fiona Shaw (Bad Sisters), the feature debut of English playwright Rebecca Lenkiewicz.

The Berlin International Film Festival runs February 13th - 23rd.
