Virgin Media Television are currently accepting Entertainment and Factual proposals for Round 55 of the Sound & Vision fund.
Virgin Media TV are looking for Factual Entertainment series and formats. Building on the success of previous Sound & Vision supported programmes such as Grá ar an Trá, Eating with The Enemy and The Salvage Squad, Virgin says:
“Our formats aim to inform, inspire and empower through entertainment. We are particularly interested in character-driven reality series and dramatic event pieces with the ambition to become the most talked about TV show, bringing essential conversations to a widespread audience. We are open to talent suggestions and dynamic new faces with something interesting to say. We will accept both series arced and closed episode formats.
We will also consider Factual series that encourage us to look at the world in new and different ways. VMTV documentary series should never feel like homework, they should resonate and provoke but most importantly entertain. We’re not afraid of difficult topics and questioning the status quo is encouraged, but even our hardest-hitting shows still have room for hope and optimism. We are very interested in unique access opportunities that open doors into unseen worlds. We are not looking for one-off/ feature length documentaries currently.
Please note, we are not accepting Drama proposals for this specific round."
Virgin Media Television’s target demo is 18-45 and all series “must have broad appeal and perform well in a post-watershed peak slot on Virgin Media One or Virgin Media Two, some earlier evening weekend slots are also an option. We are particularly interested in projects that take a ‘digital first’ approach and present innovative and creative opportunities to engage a wider audience across platforms.”
Virgin Media Television submissions must meet the criteria as set out in the Virgin Media Television Commissioning Guidelines.
