Barry Keoghan has joined the cast of Netflix’s Peaky Blinders feature film, opposite Cillian Murphy. Tom Harper will direct the film.
Rebecca Ferguson is also aboard to star in the film. Details of Keoghan and Ferguson’s roles have not yet been revealed.
Oscar winner Murphy will return in his iconic role of Tommy Shelby.
The film's script has been written by the show’s creator, Steven Knight, who will produce alongside Caryn Mandabach, Murphy and Guy Heeley. Executive producers include Tom Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren and David Mason. The film will be made in association with BBC Film.
Keoghan will be seen on the festival circuit this autumn, starring in Andrea Arnold's Bird and Irish co-production Bring Them Down which will premiere at Toronto International Film Festival on 9th September. Murphy will next be seen in Small Things Like These, released in November by Lionsgate.
