Irish actor Fra Fee has been cast in a new Netflix series Out Of The Dust, from writer Julie Gearey (Intergalactic).
Asa Butterfield, Molly Windsor, Siobhan Finneran and Christopher Eccleston will also star in the psychological thriller set in a conservative Christian sect.
The series'ssynopsis reads: “Rosie (Windsor) lives with her husband Adam (Butterfield) and daughter in a cloistered Christian community. The fateful arrival of escaped prisoner Sam (Fee) into her life, reveals the reality and restraints of her world; perhaps this hidden religious community doesn’t have her best interests at heart. And, as the cracks begin to appear in her marriage, Sam presents as her saviour. But with his dark criminal past, where does the greatest danger lie – with the cult or with Sam?”
Filming has begun this month in the UK, and the series will be directed by Jim Loach (Criminal Record) and Philippa Langdale (A Discovery of Witches).
Iona Vrolyk and Myar Craig-Brown are executive producers for Double Dutch Productions alongside Gearey, with Nick Pitt as producer.
Fee will next be seen in BBC miniseries Lost Boys and Fairies, having also appeared this year in Zack Snyder's two Rebel Moon blockbuster films.
