Film Track, a 3-day showcase of film screenings and talks celebrating independent filmmaking, takes place in Limerick from August 23-25.
Film Track is run by Innovate Limerick / Film in Limerick, in partnership with Wired FM, and with support from Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board and the National Talent Academies.
Highlights of the weekend include; a screening of locally filmed sci-fi thriller Woken, starring Erin Kellyman and Maxine Peake, an In Conversation event with filmmaker Tadhg O’Sullivan and a One-Shot Filmmaking competition, with 10 teams filming one-shot mini-masterpieces in the city over the weekend.
Paul C. Ryan, Regional Film Manager at Film in Limerick said, “It’s a summer film experience with a difference, welcoming all aspiring and experienced filmmakers and musicians to the city for 3-days of film and fun. We have a great programme lined up and all the public events are free to attend. We are delighted to welcome so many industry guests to the city and to work with our partners to put the focus on developing the film sector in the region.”
