The Miracle Club
Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland has announced that The Miracle Club has been officially selected for this year's Tribeca Film Festival. The film will receive its world premiere in the festival's Spotlight Narrative strand.

Directed by IFTA-winning Thaddeus O'Sullivan (Vera, Call the Midwife), the film follows three close friends (Laura Linney, Maggie Smith and Kathy Bates) who have never left the outskirts of Dublin on their journey to Lourdes, the picturesque French town. The film also stars Oscar nominee Stephen Rea (The Crying Game, The Usual Suspects) and Agnes O’Casey (Longbourn, Ridley Road).

The Miracle Club is based on the screenplay Pushers Needed by Irish screenwriter Jimmy Smallhorne (2x4, Darklands) and co-written by Joshua D. Maurer (Papillion) and Timothy Prager (Silent Witness). The film's producers include Larry Bass (ShinAwiL), and Chris Curling and Joshua Maurer for Zephyr Films.

This Irish/UK co-production was shot on location in Dublin and Wicklow last year. It is supported by Screen Ireland, BCP Asset Management, Ingenious Media, Hianlo and the UK Global Screen Fund.

Tribeca Film Festival 2023 will run from June 7th - 18th in New York City.
