Irish Shorts to screen at Culture Night 2021

Culture Night 2021 will take place Friday September 17th.
Screen Ireland will celebrate female filmmakers at Culture Night 2021, with a blended online and outdoor screening of Irish short films.

Screen Ireland will be running an outdoor and online screening of short films directed, produced or written by female filmmakers at Culture Night on Friday, 17th September. The Female Take is a collection of 8 Irish short films curated and supported by Screen Ireland.   

The screenings will take place online and outdoors at Varnardo Square, Dublin 8 from 8pm-9:30pm.

The line up includes 2021 IFTA short animation winner Her Song directed and written by Éabha Bortolozzo & Jack Kirwan, and 2021 IFTA short animation nominee The Dead Hands of Dublin, directed and written by Leo Crowley4 and 2020 IFTA short film winner Welcome to a Bright White Limbo, directed and written by Cara Holmes.

Other shorts include Procession starring Olwen Fouéré, directed and written by Jeda de Brí,

Barry, written by Miriam Devitt, directed by John Robert Brown, A Cat Called Jam, directed and written by Lorraine Lordan, A Terrible Hullabaloo, directed by Ben O'Conor, and Hum, directed by Maureen O'Connell, written by Ivan Cush.
