The Radharc Trust issued a call for entries of documentary films of outstanding quality in the spirit of Radharc to be honoured at the 2021 Awards Event.

The Radharc Awards honour the legacy of the Radharc Films production unit and its reputation for thoughtful and provocative religious affairs programming for Irish television. 

The Radharc Awards aim to encourage similar high standards in documentary production, and are presented to documentary films of outstanding quality that address national or global topics of social justice, human rights, spirituality, religious faith, and heritage.  

There are two categories for entries:

Category One: 

An award for Irish produced television documentaries broadcast for the first time on any free to air channel on the island of Ireland between September 22^nd, 2018 and September 1^st, 2021.  

Category Two: 

An award for documentaries produced in Ireland for first time digital distribution on a publicly accessible platform between September 22^nd, 2018 and September 1^st, 2021. 

The closing date for the receipt of all entries is Friday 3 September 2021 with winners of The Radharc Awards will be announced in October 2021.
