Screen Scene VFX is currently seeking applicants for its 8 week VFX Compositing traineeship.

The traineeship has been designed to enable you to gain relevant practical experience in the VFX Compositing profession. The objective is to give you an impression of the day to day practice at a VFX studio and allow you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

SSVFX is an award winning, internationally acclaimed Visual Effects Company based in Dublin, London, and LA. Screen Scene has been part of many high profile feature films and TV series over the last 11 years, and pride itself on quality work crafted by happy, talented and creative people. Some recent credits are WandaVision, Cruella, Black Widow, Kidding, and The Irishman.
The traineeship, which started in 2016 and takes place in the Dublin studio, has had a very successful track-record with over 90% of students going on to gain further work in the industry. Traineeship participants will have an opportunity to secure 6-12 month contracts with SSVFX at the end of the program.

This 2021 traineeship will be held virtually and takes place over 8 weeks, beginning late April. It is considered part time, with short-intensive training from the SSVFX senior team at SSVFX.

The traineeship will cover a comprehensive introduction to Nuke compositing software with the aim of fitting into a compositing pipeline for upcoming projects. This would include steps such as rotoscoping, tracking, and clean up techniques.

Those interested in applying for this traineeship, can email their CV, covering letter, and any supporting material to recruitment@ssvfx.ie. Please title the email “VFX Traineeship”.

The deadline for applications to the SSVFX Traineeship is April 21st.
