Irish feature film Full Circle has picked up two awards abroad including Best Screenplay at the Antwerp International Film Festival and Best Editing at the Fusion Film Festival in Valencia.

This follows previous wins for Best Director at the London IFFWC Film Festival and Best Screenplay at the Milan IFFWC Film Festival.

Full Circle follows the lives of two men, an Irish war journalist and an American living in Ireland, whose lives intertwine in an unusual tale of redemption and enlightenment.

Documentary filmmaker, Malcolm Walker (Michael Bates) returns to Ireland after his last production in Gaza went horribly wrong. Following his experiences in the Middle East, Malcolm begins to suffer from nightmares and flashbacks. He tries to cope, but the harder he pushes the further he seems to fall into the darkness of his own private hell. Just at its darkest point, a small speck of light appears in the shape of Travis Sear (Mark Schrier), an American, a friend, and the opposite side of the same coin.

“Full Circle was made for practically nothing and with barely a crew. To have come this far and do this well is a dream come true,” said writer and director Noel Brady. “It’s true what they say, you get by with a little help from your friends.”

Produced by Brady’s Phoenix Artz, the film features songs from Elder Roche with music from Paul Enright. The sound was handled by Simon Murphy, Glenn Kaufmann, and Danilo Zambrano, Padráig Murray features as assistant director, and James Farrell is the production assistant.

The cast is led by Michael Bates and Mark Schrier with a supporting cast that includes Susan Bracken, Annette Kelly, John Duggan, Jenny Dixon, Tom Neville, Joe McKinney, Geraldine McAlinden, Gerry Wade, Gerry Shanahan, and Ken Fletcher.

This latest news brings Full Circle up to four festival award win, as well as, a further nine nominations for an upcoming film festival in Warsaw and three nominations at the World Independent Cinema Awards 2021, which are due to feature online in January.  Full Circe has also secured two distribution deals and sold to Aerlingus for their inflight entertainment last year.
