The SeriesLab 2020 call for applications is now open to European film professionals with long TV series projects at an early development stage.
The programme is organized around 3 residential workshops, running from December 2019 to March 2020. It follows the entire process of creation of a TV series concept: from generating ideas and structuring the material, up to a final pitch in front of major key players of the international TV industry during the Series Mania Forum - Lille, France. It is open to professional European scriptwriters and directors, individually or in a team of two members.
The deadline for applications is: July 9th, 2019, 12:00 p.m. CET (noon)
SeriesLab 2020 will welcome 9 projects from Europe – including at least one project from Ireland, thanks to TorinoFilmLab’s partnership with Series Mania Forum, Screen Ireland and VAF - Flanders Audiovisual Fund. Two of the nine projects pitched at the 2019 Series Mania Forum were Irish — ‘The Crossing Place’ from writer Gary Duggan and producer Laura McNicholas; and ‘Closed City’ from writer/producer Morgan Bushe.
NEW this year: Projects with at least 1 Italian author can also apply for SeriesLab – Italia, the branch of the programme aimed at scouting and developing first concept of innovative and high-profile Italian TV series projects.
