The 9 day event, based in Los Angeles will showcase the best of Irish music, theatre, visual art, sport, animation, film and television.
Once again, the major event of the week is ‘Irelandcon’, celebrating creativity and innovation across Irish trade, culture and entertainment. Irelandcon takes place on November 1st at Loyola Marymount University’s art campus in Playa Vista. The convention is not just open to the Irish diaspora in Los Angeles, but to those keen on doing business in the above fields in Ireland.

To open the Irelandweek this year, Irish Screen America are collaborating with the Los Angeles Irish Film Festival. Irish Screen America showcases work and fosters partnerships for Irish media-makers in both New York and Los Angeles, holding screenings, industry panels, discussions and masterclasses throughout the year. Hugh O’Connor’s ‘Metal Heart’ opens the Festival and Irelandweek on October 26th.
