Hosted by the Irish Film Institute in association with Screen Producers Ireland, the panel discussion will take place at 12 pm in the IFI, on Friday, September 2018.
As audiences change and publishers look for the next big hit, Irish and international speakers will discuss the challenges and successes they have experienced in getting documentaries made.

  • The impact this has will be forefront in the discussion.

Venue: IFI, 6 Eustace St, Temple Bar, D2
Date: 28 September 2018
Time: 12pm-1pm

Panelists include:

  • Laura Slattery (MC), The Irish Times;
  • Cormac Hargaden, Loosehorse;
  • Siobhan Ward, Crossing the Line Films;
  • Loren Syer Willoughby, Off the Fence Distribution.
  • James Hickey - Screen Ireland
  • Sean Mac Giolla Padraig, RTÉ Group Head of Factual
  • Ciaran Kissane, Senior Manager, Broadcasting Authority of Ireland

This will be a great opportunity for producers and others who are involved in documentary and factual productions to have an open conversation about the state of the industry and where the future lies.
