TV3’s 'The Pat Kenny Show' & 'The Tonight Show' to Host the Final Two Debates on the Upcoming Eight Amendment Referendum

TV3 will host the final two TV debates on the upcoming Referendum on the Eighth Amendment – May 23rd.

‘The Pat Kenny Show’ Referendum Special will air at 10pm on TV3 on Wednesday 23rd followed by the final televised debate of the campaign on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Matt Cooper and Ivan Yates at 11pm. This final television debate will be voter’s last chance to hear from both sides of the campaign in a TV debate before polling stations open on Friday morning. 

‘The Pat Kenny Show’ will be the last debate in front of a live studio audience before voters go to the polls. Pat will be joined by an audience from all backgrounds as well as Minister Regina Doherty, Maria Steen of the Iona Institute, Colm O’Gorman of Amnesty Ireland and Senator Rónán Mullen. There will be special filmed reports from Academic and Broadcaster, Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, Spirit Radio Broadcaster Wendy Grace, Author and Columnist Michael Harding and Pianist and Entrepreneur Frank McNamara.

As polling day approaches Pat will be testing the pulse of the nation and presenting all the facts and arguments you need ahead of your vote on Friday May 25th.

Following ‘The Pat Kenny Show’, ‘The Tonight Show’ will air the final televised debate of the campaign. It will be the last chance to hear political reaction and views from both sides in a TV debate before the moratorium begins.  The panel will include Fianna Fáil Leader, Michael Martin, Sinn Féin Leader, Mary Lou McDonald, Businessman and No Campaigner, Declan Ganley and Theresa Lowe, Barrister and Communications Consultant.

‘The Pat Kenny Show’ Referendum Special airs tomorrow night, Wednesday 23rd May at 10pm on TV3, and will be followed by ‘The Tonight Show’ Referendum Special at 11pm.
