Starline and Bo Media Partner Up for New Series “Ireland's Greatest Loves”
09 Oct 2017 :
MIPCOM-bound, London based Starline Entertainment has struck up a brand new relationship with Cork based Bo Media on upcoming six-part docu-drama series, Ireland’s Greatest Loves, currently in pre-production.

From “Pirate Queen” Grace O’Malley’s stormy love life, to Oscar Wilde’s scandalous and famously ill-fated affair with Lord Alfred Douglas, using dramatic reconstructions, the series explores the forbidden passions, doomed romances and famous tales of heartbreak that lie behind some of the most iconic cultural figures in Irish history.

Produced by Bo Media’s Derek Nagle, Ireland’s Greatest Loves is to be directed by Patrick O’Shea, whose arts doc, Why Is There Anything Instead of Nothing is also being distributed worldwide by Starline and screening next week at IndieCork.

Starline’s Carey Fitzgerald, who negotiated the deal with Nagle after coming across the project at the Galway Film Fleadh earlier this year, commented:

“While rooted firmly in Irish folklore and identity, these enduring stories of true love, often pushing against the tide of impossible odds, resonate all over the world, and we are thrilled to be working with Derek to realise their international potential”.

Derek Nagle added:

"We're delighted to work with Starline Entertainment on this project. Many people are familiar with the public lives of these remarkable Irish men and women, but their personal stories are just as incredible and we're excited to bring these tales to life.”
