‘Vampirina’ is set to make its debut simultaneously on both the Disney Channel and Disney Junior this Sunday, October 1st.
‘Vampirina’ will once again partner Brown Bag with Disney Junior with the two companies also collaborating on the highly successful ‘Doc McStuffins’. Oscar nominated Irish director Nicky Phelan (‘Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty’, ‘The Octonauts’) is Director of the new series, which is led by executive-producer Chris Nee (‘Doc McStuffins’) and co-executive producer Norton Virgien (‘Doc McStuffins’).
The series is centred around Vampirina (Vee), a young vampire who is voiced by Isabella Crovetti. The show follows her as she makes friends, starts a new school and tries to settle into her new surroundings. Excited to experience everything that the human world has to offer, Vee will learn that while it may be easier to blend in with her peers, it’s important to celebrate the differences that make everyone unique. Always by her side, Vee’s mom and dad, who are voiced by Lauren Graham and James Van Der Beek, are also adjusting to their new life as proprietors of the local ‘Scare B&B,’ a bed and breakfast for visiting ghouls and goblins.
‘Vampirina’, is inspired by Disney Publishing's popular children’s book series ‘Vampirina Ballerina’, written by author Anne Marie Pace and illustrated by LeUyen Pham. ‘Vampirina Ballerina’ tells the story of a young vampire girl who becomes the new kid in town when her family moves from Transylvania to Pennsylvania.
The Brown Bag and Disney Junior Co-Production will premiere in America on Sunday, October 1st.
