Aidan Gillen and Tom Hollander are the latest talent to be announced for the upcoming Queen Biopic, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ The pair are set to play the bands early and late managers with Gillen taking on John Reid who managed Queen between 1975-8. Hollander will take on the role of Jim Beech, Queen’s lomgtime manager who took over after Reid.

The pair will star alongside Rami Malek (Mr. Robot), Joe Mazzello (Jurassic Park), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse), Gwilym Lee (Jamestown) who will play Queen’s band members, and Lucy Bolton (Sing Street) who is set to play Freddie Mercury’s lifelong friend, Mary Austin.

This follows the news earlier this week that Aaron McCusker has been named to play Jim Hutton, Mercury’s long term partner and lover, as well as fellow Irishman Allen Leach who will be portraying the role of Paul Prenter, Mercury’s controversial personal manager.

The movie is directed by Bryan Singer, the Script was written by Anthony McCarten (Theory of Everything) and Justin Haythe (Red Sparrow, Revolutionary Road), and is being produced by Jim Beach, Robert De Niro and Graham King. Arnon Milchan, Denise O’Sullivan and Jane Rosenthal are Executive Producers.

Gillen is also currently attached to BBC biopic ‘David Allen: At Peace,’ ‘The Spy Who Came in from the Cold,’ and ‘James and Lucia.’

'Bohemian Rhapsody,' which is produced by GK Films is underway, and is due for U.S. release on December 25, 2018.
