Northern Irish ILBF Titles Nominated for Oireachtas Communications Awards 2017

The shortlist for this year’s Oireachtas Communications Awards has been announced with several nominations attributed to content related to Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund (ILBF).

The Oireachtas Communications Awards recognise the extraordinary creativity and innovation demonstrated throughout the Irish language communication sector. This year there are a total of ten categories with the winner of the ‘Young Star of the Year’ category set to be selected via a public vote. Details of the public vote can be found here.

The ILBF content nominated include:

TV series of the Year: I Lár an Aonaigh
TV programme of the Year: Eithne – Idir Dhá Shaol
Presenter of the Year: Máire Bhreathnach (I Lár an Aonaigh)

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony held in the INEC in Killarney, Co. Kerry on Wednesday 1st November 2017. The evening promises to celebrate the achievements of the program makers, actors, journalists, presenters and others within the Irish language sector.
