The upcoming feature film which centres on the real-life prison breakout of 38 men from Her Majesty’s infamous Prison Maze in 1983, has been postponed due to timing conflicts with its lead actors.

In particular Romulus Entertainment CEO Brad Feinstein has indicated Pierce Brosnan’s limited availability and the ensuing conflict of Cillian Murphy’s shooting schedule for ‘Peaky Blinders’ have been key issues. Feinstein has also emphasised the delay has not been caused by financial issues.

Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), who co-stars alongside Murphy in the recent ‘Anthropoid’, is also set to star.

Sheridan is set to co-write the script with ’13 Reasons Why’ writer Nic Sheff, based on the original work of Tony Devlin and Gavin McCloskey. Dylan Sellars (The Starling) and Brad Feinstein (Fences) produce, with Dan Halsted as executive producer.

Sheridan’s recent work includes ‘The Secret Scripture’ starring Rooney Mara and Jack Reynor, and short film ‘11th Hour’ which travelled to the Tribeca Film Festival.
