Call for Entries: #Myname is from Kerry Film Festival & StoryStock.com
12 Jun 2017 : Katie McNeice
The competition is a new collaboration which asks for videos of three minutes or less, which tell stories of love, lust, romance, loss and triumph.

Each story must be about a real person and ten chosen submissions will be screened as part of the Kerry Film Festival which runs from October 19th-22nd 2017.

The winner on the night will take home a prize fund of €1500 euro with the runner up taking home a prize fund of €500.

According to Francis Fitzgibbon of StoryStock, people are perfectly placed to tell the stories of the people around them, while Maeve McGrath of Kerry Film Festival described the collaboration as a great way to bring storytelling to the fore of filmmaking.

Francis Fitzgibbon, CEO, StoryStock:
“We have a great history and tradition when it comes to Storytelling. We are looking for short video stories about people from all around the world. The weird, the wonderful, the whacky. Our only caveat is that the stories must be real and must be about people.

Maeve McGrath, Artistic Director, Kerry Film Festival:
“Collaborating with StoryStock is a perfect fit for the Kerry Film Festival. The festival is always keen to encourage quality short film making and KFF are delighted to provide a platform for screening a programme of selected StoryStock films. We are looking forward to v§iewing real stories from around the world.”
