RTÉ Commissioning Call for BAI Sound & Vision Projects Deadline: June 1st

The national broadcaster is inviting proposals across a range of genres for the next round of BAI funding.

Producers are asked to submit ideas into the eCommissioning system under the relevant genre before noon, June 1st.

For the following genres, A variety of budgets and production time frames will be discussed on a case-by-case basis: Entertainment, Young People’s, Cláracha Gaeilge, Education and Science, Factual, Sport, Comedy, Talent Development & Music, Religion and Factual.

In the case of Regional & Wildlife, RTÉ are looking for suitable ambitious ideas with convincing talent attached, which are also suitable for the Sound & Vision scheme.

Submissions under the Lifestyle genre must be suitable for the BAI Sound & Vision Scheme and play in one of the following slots:

  • RTÉ One: Mid-week and Sundays 20.30, half-hour episodes, 6-10 episodes (€40K - €55k per ep)
  • RTÉ One: Sundays 21.30, post-watershed, hour-long episodes 4-6 episodes (€80K - €95K per ep)
  • RTÉ2: Mid-week, post-watershed, series, hour long series (€55k to €80k per ep)
  • RTÉ2: Reality Bites, single, hour-long formats for RTÉ2 (€55,000 per episode)
