New Distribution Deals for John Butler’s Irish LGBT Drama ‘Handsome Devil’
19 May 2017 : Katie McNeice
The feature project starring Andrew Scott (The Stag), Moe Dunford (Patrick’s Day), Nicholas Galitzine (Hugh Strung) and Fionn O’Shea (The Siege of Jadotville) released in Irish cinemas last month.

Driven by Radiant Films International, ‘Handsome Devil’ has sold to Rialto (Australia & New Zealand), Salzgeber (Germany) and Tongariro Releasing (Poland), in addition to the Breaking Glass already acquiring the North American rights last March.

Breaking Glass Senior VP Michel Repsch described the title as having captured the essence of a generation.

‘Handsome Devil’ is produced by Rebecca O’Flanagan and Robert Walpole of Treasure Entertainment and distributed in Ireland by Icon Distribution.

Mimi Steinbauer, President & CEO, Radiant Films International:
“The accessible characters of Handsome Devil coupled with a warm and charming story is resonating strongly with the buyers who are looking for films that not only entertain but illuminate issues of our times. Our distribution partners have thoroughly embraced the potential of the film. As experts in releasing independent films in their markets we are excited to see Handsome Devil in cinemas near you.”
