Examining the independent music scene of Scotland in the 1900s, McCann’s Irish-Scottish co-production will screen as part of the festival on February 21st, 2017.
‘Lost in France’ is produced by Nicky Gogan of Still Films and Paul Welsh at Edge City Films, and was funded both by the Irish Film Board and Creative Scotland.
It enjoyed its Irish premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh this year.
The narrative is led by cult label Chemikal Underground, the Delgados, Bis, Mogwai, Franz Ferdinand, Arab Strap and additional figures involved in the music scene, combining to provide a portrait which is both musical and intimate.
The screening will be followed by a be followed by a performance from Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand), Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai), RM Hubbert and Emma Pollock & Paul Savage (The Delgados) as they reunite for one night only.
