Former IFB Project Manager Rory Gilmartin joins Element Pictures
06 Oct 2016 : Katie McNeice
Gilmartin joins Element as an in-house producer with immediate effect. In his time at the Irish Film Board, he oversaw the development and production of a variety of successful projects.

Among these are ‘The Lobster’, ‘Brooklyn’, ‘Viva’, ‘66 Days’, and current Irish box office hits ‘The Young Offenders’ and ‘A Date for Mad Mary.’

Prior to the IFB, he also headed up production and development activities for UK based Brilliant Films, which worked closely with the UK’s leading talent agency, Independent Talent.

As in-house producer in Element, Gilmartin’s main focus will be to build on Element’s track record in developing and producing ambitious feature films by Irish writing and directing talent for the local and international market.

Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe, Element Company Directors:
“We’re very excited to welcome Rory to Element and look forward to building our slate with him. His extensive knowledge of the industry and his talent relationships are a great fit for Element and his arrival will augment the capacity of our brilliant development and production team.”

Rory Gilmartin, Producer:
"I'm delighted to be joining Ed and Andrew at Element in such exciting times for the company. It's been an incredible period for Irish film as a whole on the local and global stage, and Element have been at the very centre of this. I'm excited to be joining the team to now help build further on this success."
