Gilmartin joins Element as an in-house producer with immediate effect. In his time at the Irish Film Board, he oversaw the development and production of a variety of successful projects.
Among these are ‘The Lobster’, ‘Brooklyn’, ‘Viva’, ‘66 Days’, and current Irish box office hits ‘The Young Offenders’ and ‘A Date for Mad Mary.’
Prior to the IFB, he also headed up production and development activities for UK based Brilliant Films, which worked closely with the UK’s leading talent agency, Independent Talent.
As in-house producer in Element, Gilmartin’s main focus will be to build on Element’s track record in developing and producing ambitious feature films by Irish writing and directing talent for the local and international market.
