2016-09-15 9:40:00 : Katie McNeice
The ‘Frozen’ actor joins Jessica Chastain (The Martian), Sam Rockwell (Mr. Right) in the project, which is currently in production in New Mexico.

Susanna White (Nanny McPhee Returns) is directing a screenplay penned by Steven Knight, whose credits television series ‘Peaky Blinders’ starring Irish actor Cillian Murphy.

More upcoming work from Hinds includes his role as Father Valignano in ‘Silence’, directed by Martin Scorsese in cast lead by Liam Neeson. He also voices the character of Jim in Aisha Tyler’s ‘Axis’, written by Irish writer Emmet Hughes.

‘Woman Walks Ahead’ sees Chastain as Catherine Weldon, a portrait painter from Brooklyn who visits Sioux chieftain Sitting Bull to paint a portrait in the 1890s. She eventually leads a campaign to help the chieftain protect his people’s land in the Dakotas from the government.

The project is being produced and financed by Black Bicycle Entertainment (Erika Olde and Rick Solomon) and Belford Falls (Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz) in association with Potboiler (Andrea Calderwood).
