The ‘Preacher’ and ‘Loving’ actress was joined at the Comic-con International 2016 by fellow Irish Talent Garth Ennis, who penned the original graphic novel series and co-created the show.
Panel discussions between the cast and crew informed fans that future series will continue to draw upon Ennis’ graphic novels, but will not necessarily follow them chronologically.
Of her own character Tulip O’Hare, Negga states the relationship between her character and that of Cassidy was “…too interesting not to explore.” The fate of O’Hare in the upcoming second season has also been discussed since this weekend.
A teaser trailer played at Comic-Con shows the characters of Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy leaving the staple locations of the first season on a road trip, signalling the next phase of their mission to find God.
