Image Ireland have announced their programme for the Saturday/Sunday 17/18th September

10.00 - 10.30
ImageIreland CEO Stephen Lohan Welcomes delegates to the theatre and explains the running order of the Day.

10.30 - 11.30
Ben Mauro. Ben Will be talking about his quite substantial body of work, how he made his break through and he will give his very informed opinion the Industry problems that he faces and all artists face as they become older, wiser and more experienced. He will also speak about education, original content creation and why it is so important.

11.30 - 12.00
Coffee Break

12.00 - 1.00
In-Ah Roediger and Catherine Mullan. While presenting their body of work In-Ah and Catherine will have an informal discussion giving an insight into their experience within the VFX industry. They will discuss the good and the not so good and given their combined experience they are well placed to advise on where they they think the industry is headed while also advising on the correct course of action for students interested in pursuing a career in Visual Effects.

2.00 - 3.00
Justin Fields with Scott Ross. Scott will be asking Justin to talk about why IP and original content creation is so important and to share with the audience his vision for the future success of his Company IronKlad studios and if he believes he can compete with the existing studio system.

Coffee Break

3.30 - 4.30
Mike Hill with Scott Ross. Mike will discuss immersive entertainment for the video game and motion picture industry. Is it the future? If so what should we be doing to get ahead. Is the current climate right to develop ones own Intellectual property? How do the games industry and the motion picture industry differ for the VFX artist and which of these industries is more sympathetic to the artists needs?

4.30 - 5.15
All of the artists will come back onto the stage for a Q and A with the audience.

DAY 2. SUNDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER.

09.00 - 10.00
ImageIreland CEO Stephen Lohan welcomes delegates to the theatre and explains the running order of the Day.

10.00 - 11.30
Scott Ross and Invited guests debate the problems the industry is facing such as tax incentives, lack of forward planning, non-sustainability of the Industry etc. with Invited guests. As part of their mandate the visual effects association of Ireland is to "interface with all training agencies and 3rd level institutions to maintain a consistent flow of industry ready talent". Scott will explore if this is happening and to what extent plans have been made to improve and protect the Irish VFX industry moving forward.

11.30 - 12.00

12.00 - 1.00
Alf Loovold with Scott Ross. Alf talks about original content creation and the development of "Dawn of the planet of the Zombies and killer plants on some serious acid" , with Scott. Has he managed to pull together the funding to make the teaser into a full feature? You can view the teaser on the homepage.

Bastiaan Koch with Scott Ross: Bastiaan is one of those incredible artists that has made the seamless transition between being the artist and being the creator of successful IP. This is an ideal opportunity to listen to Bastiaan talk about His 10 years working at Industrial Light and Magic and how he has made that transition into making his own content. 3.30 - 4.30
Scott and Stephen have an informal discussion about the VFX Academy and incubation hub. Stephen will share his plans with the audience for the future of VFX education and original VFX content creation in Ireland. He will discuss "self-determination" He will also be making an announcement about the first piece of original content to be made in the incubation hub.

4.30 - 5.00
All of the artists take to the stage with Scott for a final Q and A of the day.
