The broadcast and film rental house was originally founded in 2008. The Dublin-based company are suppliers of a range of lenses, camera, audio and lighting equipment.

News of the new Galway branch, which is set to open this Summer was announced at last weekend’s Galway Film Fleadh, with Manager Colin Browne stating:

“We are looking forward to bringing Film Equipment Hire’s world class service and infrastructure to Galway and we are confident it will make for a welcome resource to our industry in the west of Ireland.”

The team at Film Equipment hire have praised the thriving film and television industry of Galway, which is designated as a UNESCO City of film, is home to the Galway Film Fleadh, TG4 and a rich pool of production companies and filmmakers.

To date, clients of Film Equipment Hire Ireland have included are RTÉ, TG4, ITV, BBC, Channel 4, NBC, ABC, Discovery Channel, History Channel and PBS, with a range of others hailing from both Ireland and abroad.
