The public praised the portrayal of The Dubliners musician Luke Kelly on social media last night, which aired on RTÉ One at 21:35.
The one-hour documentary featured Irish musician Glen Hansard of ‘Once’, which was awarded the Oscar for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures in 2008.
Other contributors include bandmate John Sheahan, Phil Coulter and Damien Dempsey. Footage was used from both The Dubliners’ archive and RTÉ’s library, to profile the life and times of the Irish talent from his early years to his death in 1984.
A great reminder that being authentic is all we need to do.#LukeKelly put his heart & soul into his voice, how powerful that realness was.
