The Application Deadline for Screen Training Ireland’s VFX Script to Screen Programme has been extended until Friday, May 6th.
VFX: Script to Screen equips producers, directors and creatives with the tools to make artistic, budgetary and technical decisions in relation to VFX, and provides a “big picture” understanding of how VFX impacts on various aspects of prep, production and post.
This programme is targeted at developing skills and talent in the European audio-visual sector with Screen Training Ireland stating that the aim is to inspire the creative film community to push the boundaries of VFX at all budget levels, and develop new and innovative stories for audiences globally.
VFX: Script to Screen takes place over two main residential modules and will include a stand-alone conference day for producers focused on VFX budgeting and scheduling. This day will explore script breakdown, budgeting and scheduling of VFX projects through case studies, presentations and round table discussions.
A notable proponent of the course is Brendan Muldowney, currently in post-production on violent period drama ‘Pilgrimage’ who said the course “completely immersed me in the world of VFX, covering every aspect, to give me a knowledge base and the confidence to make decisions as a director which will be invaluable in the future.”
