The BBC has announced their upcoming sitcom slate, with a new comedy currently in development written by Irish writers Sharon Horgan and Graham Linehan.
‘Motherland’ is also written by Helen Linehan (Graham’s wife) and Holly Walsh. It is described as a show all about navigating the trials and traumas of middle-class motherhood. It is a co-production between Horgan’s Merman and Linehan’s Delightful Industries and will be produced by Richard Boden and directed by Graham Linehan. BBC have also commissioned a new special episode of Brendan O’Carroll’s ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’.

She is also developing a sitcom with Irish actress Aisling Bea for Channel 4 about a woman trying to find her real father.
