‘Spider’s Trap’ is written and directed by Alan Walsh
Irish film noir ‘Spiders Trap’ has signed a deal with distributor Under The Milky Way that will give the film digital distribution on streaming platforms such as iTunes, Amazon, Google and Vulu.

Speaking about the deal, Executive Producer John Phelan said: “Of course, this deal also opens the door for other distribution avenues. We are also in discussion with IMC Cinemas with a view to some sort of theatrical release in Ireland.”

Written and directed by Alan Walsh and produced by Bootstrap Films & Blackhorse Film productions – ‘Spiders Trap’ tells the story of one man’s taste for revenge and another man’s dreams of glory as Jack Spider goes to extreme lengths to get his Black Wall Gang back together –using kidnap to force promising musician and former gang member Steve back into a life of crime for one last heist.

The cast includes Glen Baker, Sarah Carroll, Dermot Magennis, Simon Delaney, Liam Carney and Aislí Moran while the DoP of the project was Matt Skinner and the editor was Mario Bortas. John Phelan of Bootstrap Films Ltd was Executive Producer.

Bootstrap Films are also in pre-production of a new film entitled ‘Hell Broke Luce’, an MMA revenge film about a young woman who sets out to transform herself into an underground MMA bare knuckles circuit fighter in order to get close to the men who murdered her husband and unborn child.

The film is a co-production between Bootstrap Films and Powerful Entertainment and the film’s budget is tentatively set at €1.5m with Bootstrap raising a third of the funds in the US. The film is slated to shoot in Ireland later in the year. Alan Walsh will direct from a script by Robert Boris and the cast includes Stephanie Sigman. Lotus Entertainment will distribute.
