Cork shot ‘Dead Dogs’ now available on Vimeo On Demand

'Dead Dogs'
Award-winning Irish feature ‘Dead Dogs’ – written and directed by Ian Ruby – is now available online. The film is being released exclusively through Vimeo On Demand.

The no-budget film, produced by Robert O’ Halloran & Ian Ruby and shot over 12 days in the winter of 2013 in Cork, had its premiere at the 2014 Indie Cork Film Festival.

Festival awards the film has garnered since include Best Dramatic Feature Film at the Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase, Best National Feature Film at the Dare Media Underground Film Festival and Best Feature Film at the Sky Road Film + TV Festival.

The film tells the story of Don who wants to reconnect with his estranged family. His partner, Lisa wants to be free of his violent rages. Their neighbour, Ritchie wants to escape from his miserable home and his debt to a brutal, gangster.

The cast includes Karol Mann O’ Connor, Irene Kelleher, Shane Doonan and Lochlainn McKenna. The crew includes DoP Robert O’ Halloran, Sound Mixer Conor Baron, Sound Recordists Ian O’ Callaghan and Kevin O’ Leary while Ciara Hicks provided the Make-Up and Special Effects.
