Fingal to run FETAC accredited Film & TV Production Training course in North Dublin

The start date for the first course is April 4th
Fingal Film Festival, in conjunction with CDETB, will run a FETAC accredited Level 5 Film & TV Production Training Course which is primarily aimed at the young and unemployed in the North County Dublin area.

Funded by the City of Dublin Education and Training Board, this is a full-time training programme offering the local community a chance to learn the process of Film & TV Media Production in a practical process and at a foundation level.

The core modules of the course will cover the following:

  • Media Analyses
  • TV & Film Production
  • Script Writing
  • Case Studies in Film & Documentary
  • Personnel Effectiveness
  • Film & TV Camera work in Lighting & Editing
  • Work Experience

Fingal has stated that preferential participants will be aged between 18-35 and from North Dublin or the Central Area and will currently not be in employment. There will be an interview process for suitability and candidates accepted will keep their social welfare entitlements.

The course/office will be based in the Santry area in Dublin 9. The training programme is learner directed and the aim is provide participants with the education and skills to progress onto further education or into employment. It will run twice a year.
