Gréasán na Meán Skillnet, well-known in Ireland for their creative and innovative cross sector media and communication training workshops in traditional and online environments, has unveiled some of their courses and events which are taking place this spring.

First up is the GMIT International Cook Serve Challenge which is running for a week in Galway in March with Gréasán na Meán producing a web based video magazine programme that covers all aspects of the challenge. They will document the competition, produce backstories on the participants and create lots of short films about food in Galway.

Participants will receive on-site training from industry professionals and will also participate in a series of high end craft workshops. They will be completely hands on in the publication of an online video magazine for the GMIT International Cook Serve Challenge. It is an ideal opportunity for filmmakers who want to expand their skills and contacts in both the food and television industries.

Places are limited but are free to those on the live register. The training will take place from the 7th – 17th of March 2016.
