Warner Bros have optioned movie rights for Cecelia Ahern’s forthcoming debut young adult series, Flawed and Perfect.

Speaking about the news, Cecelia said: “Writing Flawed and Perfect has been an exciting journey and a new departure for me as a writer. I am really looking forward to engaging with a young adult reading audience and I’m very excited about the prospect of the series making it to the big screen.”

Flawed will be published in Ireland and UK in March 2016 by HarperCollins. Perfect will be published in March 2017. Both will be published by Macmillan in USA in April 2016 and April 2017.

Two of Cecelia’s novels ‘PS I Love You’ and ‘Love, Rosie’ were adapted into movies in the past, both partly filming in Ireland. Cecelia has also created several TV series, including ‘Samantha Who?’ starring Christina Applegate.

Tom Collins: “For me it's all about the work, which is about creating a reflection of a modern Irish cultural identity that can travel beyond borders, history and these shores.”
