‘Older Than Ireland’ won the Best Feature Documentary award at the Galway Film Fleadh |

Following on from its’ win at the Galway Film Fleadh where it won the Best Feature Documentary Award, ‘Older Than Ireland’ is to hit Irish cinemas on September 25th, being distributed by Element Pictures Distribution.
Directed by award winning filmmaker Alex Fegan (‘The Irish Pub’), ‘Older Than Ireland’ features thirty men and women aged 100 years and over. The film explores each centenarian’s journey, from their birth at the dawn of Irish independence to their life as a centenarian in modern day Ireland.
Speaking on the acquisition, Director Fegan said: "Having worked with Element Pictures Distribution with ‘The Irish Pub’, we are very excited to be working with them again on ‘Older Than Ireland’. This documentary is a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture the life-story of 30 Irish centenarians, each born before 1916 and the foundation of the state. We know, working with Element, that we can reach the widest possible audience, who we are certain will be moved and inspired by the honesty and insights of these extraordinary citizens."
