Metrodome International has closed a number of major territory deals for Irish horror ‘Let Us Prey’. Raven Banner Entertainment has taken the film for Canada while Kaleidoscope has taken all rights for the UK.
Liam Cunningham, Pollyanna McIntosh and Douglas Russell star in the horror about the night when an enigmatic stranger detained in the cells of a remote police station takes over the minds of the inmates.
‘Let Us Prey’, the debut feature from director Brian O’Malley, has screened in Edinburgh, North America and Asia, and won Best European Fantastic film in Brussels. The film is produced by Brendan McCarthy and John McDonnell of Fantastic Films (Last Days On Mars) and by Eddie Dick of Makar Productions (Outcast). Backers on the project include James Daly of Greenhouse Media; Creative Scotland and The Irish Film Board.
The Sitges, Fantasia, Toronto After Dark and Puchon title previously sold to Germany (Pierrot le Fou), Benelux (Premiere TV), The Middle East (Falcon) and Hong Kong (Sundream Motion Pics).
Last September, IFTN reported that ‘Let Us Prey’ was also acquired by Dark Sky Films for distribution in the US. Another Dark Sky films title, ‘From the Dark’ by Irish director Conor McMahon (‘Stitches’) set in Laois, has secured a deal for Canadian distribution through Raven Banner.
