The 13th Clones Film Festival, which will take place from the 23 - 26 October this year, is currently seeking short film submissions.
Established in 2001, the Clones Film Festival aims to present a range of International and Irish film in both feature and short formats. In addition to the comprehensive screenings there are also short film competitions for Best Documentary and Best Fiction/Experimental. The opening night will screen two short films; ‘The Gloaming’ and ‘Volkswagen Joe’, starring Stuart Graham (Hunger, Made in Belfast) in the central role, and based on a play by the border playwright Brendan McCann with an adaptation by Matt Roche.
This year the festival will also host the 8th 48-Hour Short Film Challenge, in association with Clones Credit Union, where teams of filmmakers are challenged to shoot, edit and screen their own short film over the weekend. Also taking place over the four-day festival will be a host of talks and other events including a nightly Festival Club.
Entries for the short film competitions must be submitted before August 31, 2014. For more information and details about submitting a film please contact info@clonesfilmfestival or visit clonesfilmfestival.
