‘Corp + Anam’ Wraps Post-Production
22 May 2014 : Deirdre Molumby
Post-production has just been completed on the second series of ‘Corp + Anam’. The drama is a 4x1 hour series produced by Magamedia for TG4. It stars Diarmuid de Faoite (‘Ros na Rún’, ‘Scúp’) and Maria Doyle Kennedy (‘Orphan Black’, ‘Dexter’, ‘The Tudors’) in the lead roles. The second season continues to follow the story of crime correspondent Cathal Mac Iarnáin as he pursues the truth and investigates corruption in Ireland.

The series’ DOP was Colm Hogan (‘Seachtar na Cásca’) and designer was Nicola Moroney (‘Songs for Amy’). It was edited by Conall de Cléir (‘Cré na Cille’), mixed by Mark Henry in Windmill Lane and graded by Eugene McCrystal in EMC. Fionán Higgins provided sound supervision, Fiadhnait McCann operated as SFX editor and foley was provided by Ardmore Sound.

Both series of ‘Corp + Anam’ were filmed in Galway. The first series received IFTA nominations for Best Television Drama, Best Writer Television Drama for Darach Mac Con Iomaire, Best Actor Television for de Faoite, and Best Actress Television for Doyle Kennedy. The series was awarded a Special Irish Language IFTA, which was accepted by the series producer Paddy Hayes.

Darach Mac Con Iomaire, who is both writer and director for the series, said “It has been incredibly exciting to witness all the various elements come together and the input of our wonderful post production team in realising this ambitious project – their talent, commitment and enthusiasm towards the work has been humbling and I look forward to the fruits of their labour being broadcast in the autumn.”

Producer Paddy Hayes said, “This part of the filmmaking process is about finessing and polishing - and it’s great to know that this new series will be transmitted in HD on TG4 and that the dynamic range of the audio has greater scope now under the EBU's new ‘loudness’ guidelines.”

‘Corp + Anam’ is produced with funding from TG4, the BAI and Section 481.

The series will be broadcast on TG4 for a four-week run commencing on the 27th of November 2014.
