The Kerry Training Centre (Tralee) is looking for expressions of interest for a Cinematography Masterclass with Daniel Pearl ASC. The course runs for a week (12-16 May) in Tralee/Killarney as a follow-up to “The Dawn” Workshop, a Feature Lighting Masterclass with Mo Flam.
Daniel Pearl has been a cinematographer on a wide range of projects. He is best known for acting as DOP for the 1974 original and 2003 remake of ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’, as well as for ‘Alien vs Predator: Requiem’ and ‘Friday the 13th’ (2009). Pearl has also worked on various TV movies, commercials, and music videos working with the likes of Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, REM, Pitbull and Usher (more on his work can be seen on his website).
The Masterclass is 9am-5pm Monday to Friday covering a variety of topics including scene coverage, lighting, lens selection, camera movement, and lighting & composition. The cost for the week is €450.
The Kerry Training Centre will also be announcing details of a series of week-long industry courses very shortly including SFX Makeup, Multi-Camera Studio Directing, Advanced Feature Film Lighting (with Mo Flam) and Dialog Editing for Film/TV. All courses are run to industry demand and tutor availability.
