Screen Training Ireland Announce Module 2 of Leading Edge: The Producers Programme

Screen Training Ireland has announced module two of their Leading Edge: The Producers Programme, which takes place in Dublin from the 19 - 21 of April.

The innovative programme is aimed at established producers who seek to incorporate the creative and business aspects of production. Leading Edge will assist producers to internationalise their projects, provide mentorship and custom designed training development.

This module will focus on the creative and development process, exploring the producer's role in creative development, story selection and execution, working and managing creative talent, creative packaging, project selection and slate management, resolving conflicts, identifying audience at the early stage and pitching.

Speakers on this module include Margaret Matheson (Bard Entertainment), Mary Burke (Warp Films), Ed Guiney (Element Entertainment), Kate Leys (Script Development/Script Editor), Rebecca O’Flannagan (Treasure Entertainment) and Steen Bille (Danish Film Institute).

The course director Angus Finney has worked closely with Screen Training Ireland and the Irish Film Board to develop this exclusive programme. Finney is manager of the Film London Production Finance Market and currently an expert witness for the UK government. His experience includes training, managerial, financing, creative management, executive producing, and international sales.

Participants on the programme include Rory Dungan and Rachael O’Kane (Titled Films), Ruth Treacy and Julianne Ford (Tailored Films), John Keville (SP Films), Ronan McCabe (Double Z Films), Liam McGrath (Scratch Productions), Nathalie Lichtenthaeler (Wide Eye Films Ltd), Trevor Curran (One Productions) and John Brady (Solas Studios).

The final module of the programme will take place in London in June and will provide participants with direct access to sales and marketing expertise and network opportunities with local industry.
