Casting for the Next ‘V-Reporter’ for ‘The Voice of Ireland’
06 Feb 2014 : Deirdre Molumby
The ‘Voice of Ireland’, produced by Screentime ShinAwil, and 2FM are currently looking for an online host for all things related to ‘The Voice of Ireland.’ The host should act as the ‘eyes and ears of the fans and followers nationwide’ and will report to RTÉ 2FM on a weekly basis.

While Kathryn Thomas and Eoghan McDermott manage the live shows, the V-Reporter will need to find out all the gossip behind the scenes of the show. As online host, he or she will use social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. to create and host content from the backstage areas of ‘The Voice of Ireland’.

With a YouTube channel of over 12 million views, and a major Twitter and Facebook following also, the host selected will get the opportunity to front all. News and updates for these channels are essential.

When the cameras stop rolling, the V Reporter works on and has an exclusive all access pass. Creativity and passion were listed as traits required for the post.

Applications consist of an online video audition. The content for this is entirely up to the applicant but it should show how they are the right person for the job. Submissions must contain a video which should open with an introduction stating their name, age and location, and after that it is up to the applicant.

Five finalists will be chosen to go into the 2FM bootcamp where the winner will be selected.

The live shows will run from March 16th until the end of April, so the winner will need to be available at the Helix every weekend for this time and therefore must source accommodation in the Dublin area.

The closing date for applications is Midnight February 16th.
