The Gaiety School of Acting will host a one-day TV presentation workshop at the Gaiety School of Acting on Sunday February 16th.
The specialised workshop will be taught by Media Skills trainer Alan Shortt, who has been working in radio and television in Ireland for the last twenty years.
Participants can expect to learn valuable and practical TV presenting tips and techniques; be introduced to autocue/teleprompter training; identify the differences between outdoor and studio presenting; and increase in confidence in vocal delivery.
The school has previously trained actors such as Colin Farrell, Charlie Murphy, Olivia Wilde, Aidan Turner, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Colin O’Donoghue.
Alan Shortt is best known for his portrayal of Bertie Ahern, Michael Noonan, Michael D Higgins, Willie O’Dea, George Bush and many more on TV. The well-known comedian previously worked as a presenter, performer, and producer, and is currently a regular contributor on RTE Radio/TV and BBC Radio Ulster.
This workshop will be specially tailored to people looking to enhance their skills in presenting but beginners are also welcome.
The intensive presentation workshop will take place at the Gaiety School of Acting on Essex Street West from 10am to 5pm on February 16th.
