Ronan Hill wins award for Outstanding Creative Achievement at the 29th Annual TEC Awards
‘Game of Thrones’ production sound mixer Ronan Hill has won the award for Outstanding Creative Achievement at the 29th Annual TEC Awards (Technical Excellence and Creative Achievement Awards).
The awards were held at the Namm Show Anaheim, California on Friday January 24th 2014.
Ronan and his team Tim Kimmel (supervising sound editor), Richard Dyer (production mixer), Mathew Waters, Onnalee Blank and CAS (re-recording mixers) were honoured at the professional audio industry’s most prestigious event.
Also nominated in the category of television sound production were ‘Boardwalk Empire’, ‘Downton Abbey’, ‘Homeland’ and ‘Treme’.
Ronan also previously won two IFTA awards for ‘Hunger’ (2009) and ‘Kings’ (2008), and was nominated for his work on ‘The Eclipse’, ‘Five Minutes of Heaven’, and the first two seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’.
‘Game of Thrones’ returns Monday April 7th at 9pm on Sky Atlantic HD.
