Screen Training Ireland will deliver the third and final module of the VFX: Script to Screen Progamme with the support of the MEDIA programme of the EU MEDIA programme. It will take place in Dublin this week from the 23rd to the 25th of January 2014.
Confirmed speakers include VFX supervisors Cedric Fayolle and Felix Berges, and head of Mikros Image Julien Meesters.
The module will focus on post production and includes an overview of post-production, VFX editing and VFX production and processes. Those attending the last module will be shown a full day of practical process demonstrations in Windmill Lane.
There will be also a number of workshops and masterclasses given by European FX supervisors. VFX supervisor Cedric Fayolle, studio head Julien Meesters of Mikros Image (France/Belgium) and VFX supervisor Felix Berges of El Rachito (Spain) will be present. Meesters will discuss multi award-winning 'Rust and Bone' and 'Amour' while Berges will talk about Oscar nominee ‘The Impossible’.
The past four months of the course have allowed participants on the program to be given world class tuition in the area of VFX. Designed with award-winning digital effects companies Windmill Lane, VFX and Screen Scene VFX, the innovative programme focused on the development of new skills and talent in the European visual effects sector. By introducing people in the industry to global leaders in the field, it aimed to inspire the creative film community to develop new and innovative stories for audiences and thus push the boundaries of VFX globally.
The next VFX: Script to Screen program will be open for applications in February 2014.
