Applications are now open for the sixth series of RTÉ’s ‘Dragon’s Den’ which will broadcast in 2014.
This year, Dragons' Den would like to encourage applications from those affiliated to or from Third Level Educational Institutions.
Presented by Richard Curran, the series gives hopeful Irish entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their business schemes in front of five wealthy and successful venture capitalists, the Dragons.
The entrepreneurs must convince the experienced Dragons of the merits of their business ideas in hopes that they will invest and finance their ideas.
This year's entrepreneurs will be facing a fiery new Dragon in the Den alongside Dragons Ramona Nicholas, Gavin Duffy, Barry O'Sullivan, and Peter Casey. The new dragon will be announced in the coming months and will be replacing Sean O'Sullivan who is stepping down from the panel.
Sponsored by the Bank of Ireland, the Irish version of the popular format, which has gone global since the original version aired in Japan in 2001, has been airing on RTÉ One since 2009.
Dragons' Den is produced by Screentime ShinAwil Productions Ltd and is filmed on location at Taylors Three Rock, Rathfarnham.
If you feel like you have a lucrative business idea or are already operating successfully and looking to expand, and could use the financial backing then this is the show for you.
Apply now for the next series of Dragons Den and see if your idea is good enough.
The eight-part series will be followed by two 'Junior Dragons' shows.
Introduced last year, 'Junior Dragons' showcased some of the most talented secondary school students in the country.
Open to applicants between 12- 18, the nation’s young people will get a chance to show that their fresh new ideas can make it in the Den and secure the approval of the Dragons.
