The BAI backed RTÉ One series ‘Instrumental’ has been voted as one of the ‘7 Best Formats’ in 2013 by Public Service Broadcasters from the European Broadcasting Union.
The event took place on Tuesday 10th September in Berlin where Brian Graham MD from Adare Productions presented the format to TV industry leaders.
“We are thrilled at the recognition and it underlines the huge importance of the BAI Sound & Vision scheme to Irish television makers. The bottom line is, if the BAI had not stepped forward, this series would not have happened and Irish television would not have been recognised in that line up of the ‘7 Best Formats’ on the european stage. With their support, RTÉ commissioning editor Grainne McAleer’s enthusiasm and the backing of a very talented production team, European broadcasters have one more reason to pay attention to TV production in Ireland”.
