'Love/Hate' and 'The X-Files' in the spotlight at this year's Galway Film Centre TV seminar.
The Galway Film Centre’s TV drama seminar this October is set to feature a ‘Love/Hate’ panel - attended by series creator/writer Stuart Carolan, director David Caffrey and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor- and an interview with 'The X-Files' executive producer/writer Frank Spotnitz.

Irish director Dearbhla Walsh (‘The Tudors’, ‘Little Dorrit’) will moderate the ‘Love/Hate’ panel as the IFTA-winning Dublin gangland drama prepares to screen its fourth season this Autumn.

Frank Spotnitz served as executive producer and wrote (or co-wrote) more than 40 episodes of the paranormal series, along with its two big-screen spin-offs ‘Fight the Future’ and ‘I Want to Believe’.

His latest series ‘Hunted’ aired on BBC1 and HBO in 2012 and he is currently writing a four-hour adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s classic novel ‘The Man in the High Castle’ for Ridley Scott.

Other writers taking part this year are Bryan Elsley, writer and co-creator of ‘Skins’ and Oscar-nominated Tom Bidwell who wrote ‘My Mad fat Diary’ for E4.

The two day event will take place in The Harbour Hotel on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th of October, supported by Screen Training Ireland, the BAI, TG4, the Irish Film Board and RTÉ.

Now in its third year, the TV drama seminar has previously hosted such guests as Vince Gilligan (‘Breaking Bad’); Hans Rosenfeldt (‘The Bridge’), Bryan Cogman (‘Game of Thrones’), and Richard Cottan (‘Wallander’).

Further speakers will be announced in the coming weeks and early booking is advised as the event sold out last year.
