‘What Richard Did’ is among the 46 films on the 26th European Film Awards’ selection, the shortlist of films recommended for a nomination for the European Film Awards 2013.
Director Lenny Abrahamson (‘Adam & Paul, ‘Frank’) and writer Malcolm Campbell, who has worked on hit UK series ‘Skins’ and ‘Shameless’, are among those in consideration for a EFA nomination.
The film is produced by Abrahamson’s regular collaborator Ed Guiney (‘The Guard’), with Andrew Lowe (‘The Wind That Shakes the Barley’) executive producing the film.
As IFTN revealed last week, Abrahamson will direct the film adaptation of the international bestseller ‘Room’, with a script by author Emma Donoghue, and Ed Guiney producing.
Element Pictures’ ‘What Richard Did’ won several awards at this years’ IFTA awards; Best Actor for Jack Reynor, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Film and Best Script.
Lead actor Jack Reynor is starring in the upcoming ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ and alongside Vince Vaughn in ‘The Delivery Man’.
In the coming weeks, the 2,900 members of the European Film Academy will vote for the nominations in the categories European Film, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenwriter.
The nominations will then be announced on 9 November at the Seville European Film Festival in Spain.
